This article discusses presidential concerns about latent opinion on Afghanistan in comparison to what Johnson faced in Vietnam, as we discussed yesterday:

I was listening to the speech tonight and a lot of the discourse and references by officials and media referred back to Vietnam... It'll be interesting to see how this unfolds.
