  1. Hmm, a familiar problem for any native Louisianian.

My problem with this situation is that instead of focusing on increasing the number of professional jobs in LA to keep these professionals who used LA taxes and resources for their education, they want to focus on increasing the number of technical jobs in the state.

I will graduate with my undergraduate (TOPS) and graduate (grad assistant scholarship) degree both funded by LA. However, I will most likely leave to find a job because the current economy does not have valid professional jobs for me. Therefore, I have just used all of their resources for my education and will benefit another states economy through my professional work.

Its time LA started thinking about becoming more professional and less technical- oil and seafood don't have to be our only industries.

  2. LA is becoming a BOOMING state for TV and movies to be filmed here. Give it another 5 years and you will see LA becoming the next NYC or Hollywood... There are 3 movies being shot in the state currently.
