Amber and I are looking forward to our class discussion on Monday. It would be great, if over the weekend, you did some soul searching to see how politically aware and knowledgeable you are. You may also want to think of some solutions that would help Americans become more politically knowledgeable. Yesterday, I introduced former Governor Kathleen Blanco as guest speaker for the Inaugural Women's Conference on the LSU campus. She called the group "to action." She challenged the women in the audience to become more involved in local, state, and national politics. It was a rallying speech, in a way, to get those in the audience to take part in government. Her words were quite appropriate for this week's class. We'll see you Monday. Andrea
